The AICPA provides some great information on their website about protecting your privacy. You can access the page here. The AICPA is the American Association of Certified Public Accountants.
The National Do Not Call Registry is where you can have your number listed so that telemarketers are no longer allowed to call. This is the official website, and the only one that I am aware. I will list the full web address:

Be cautious of other sites that claim to do the same thing - they are most likely scam sites.
