How to Access Steam with Xfinity/Comcast Modem

You cannot access Steam with the default settings of the cable modem (ARRIS TG862). To change the settings, do the following:

Access your cable modem settings:

Go to http://10.0.0.1/

User name is: admin
password is: password

On the left is a menu - under 'Gateway' go to 'Firewall' and select 'Custom Security'.

Once you do that, you can access your Steam account.
