Is fedloan servicing legitimate?

I received an email regarding my student loans from FedLoan servicing at fedloan.org. I was immediately worried that this may be a scam given that in the email it asked that I register with them.

To confirm that the site and provider is legitimate I went to studentaid.ed.gov and looked up FedLoan to determine its legitimacy. It is legitimate.

But here are the settings you need for aplus.net email configured through Outlook or Gmail or whatever other app you are using.
